The Tournament will be using Grimdark Future ruleset with modified Tournament guidelines (see resources).
All players will be required to create 1500pt army in ArmyForge with force organisation enabled. List submissions are due by the end of 5th July 2026 (one week before the event). Any balance changes or alterations made before then will be taken into account.

Q: Am I able to play with my Age of Fantasy army instead?
A: Yes, Grimdark Future and Age of Fantasy are compatible and balanced with each other. Since Age of Fantasy maximum unit size is different for 1500 points (due to different Force Org. rules), you need to make sure that your army can be comfortably deployed in the 1’x4′ zone.
About the day
The tournament is scheduled for Sunday, July 12th, and will feature four games throughout the day (75min per game). We recommend arriving at 12:00 to go over the schedule and ensure we’re all set for the first game to kick off at 12:30.
Games will be played on a 4’x4′ play area defined by a neoprene mat and scenery. Deployment zones and objectives will be pre-determined ahead of the game.

What to Bring
When attending the tournament you need to make sure to bring the following:
1500pts army
Tape measure
Dice (d6)
Pen/Pencil
Activation and Wound Tokens (you can use coloured dice instead)
At least two printed copies of your list (one for you, one for your opponent)
You will not be able to use your phone during the match to use Army Forge.
Prizes
There will be a mixture of prizes available on the day for the winner(s) of the tournament. Each participant will also receive an OPR miniature for attending the event.
Use this form to sign up for the tournament. After you register, the organizer will contact you to confirm your spot and arrange payment. Your place will only be secured once the payment has been completed.
One Page York (OPY) Tournaments will use the latest core rules for the respective game. Whenever official rules have been mentioned on this page, use the latest version of the rules, unless the version has been explicitly stated.
OPY Tournaments are made up of 4 games with breaks between each game. Refer to the tournament page for an accurate schedule.
1.1 Mixed Armies
At the moment Mixed Armies and Custom Armies are not allowed to compete at OPY tournaments. However, this might be subject to change based on player feedback.
1.2 Game Scoring
The winning player in each round must report the match results to the scorekeeper, including who won and who lost. If there’s a mistake in the report, players must contact the Tournament Organiser or Head Judge to correct it within two rounds. If the error isn’t fixed by then, it stands, and the tournament continues as is.
At the end of each match, the winner gets 3 Tournament Points (TPs). In case of a tie, if only one player is left with no units or only shaken units on the board, then that player loses and the other wins. Otherwise, both players score 1 TP.
After the last game of the tournament, the player with the most TPs wins.
1.3 Player Pairing
The tournament uses a modified swiss-system for player pairing.
Here is how it works:
In the first round, players are randomly paired.
In the consecutive rounds, players are matched randomly with others who have the same number of TPs as them.
If there’s an odd number of players in the score group, the remaining one is paired with someone from the next highest group.
Whenever possible, the Organiser will try to the best of the ability to start the tournament with even number of player. However, if that is not possible due to unforeseen circumstances, the pairing and scoring will follow the following rules:
In the first round, a random player will be awarded a win for that round
In the consecutive rounds, a random player with the lowest number of TP will be awarded a win for that round.
1.4 Player Removal
If a player wishes to stop playing, they may notify the Organiser, who will remove them from future rounds. Players who don’t show up on time or can’t continue will also be removed. Players may ask to rejoin, but they’ll receive an unpaired loss for missed rounds. Disqualified players are removed and cannot rejoin under any circumstances.
2. Conduct Guidelines
All participants must be respectful during the tournament. If players can’t settle a dispute, they must call a Judge to make a decision. Players must act maturely, follow the rules, and be respectful. This includes avoiding stalling, damaging items, cheating, or being disrespectful to their opponents (this includes but is not limited to: hate speech and abusive/aggressive/offensive behaviour). Collusion to manipulate scores is strictly forbidden, and intentionally damaging other players’ items may result in removal from the tournament. The Tournament Organiser and Head Judge may remove players for unsporting behaviour at any time, without discussion.
2.1 Margin of Error
Minis may be accidentally pushed or moved during the game, and whilst small errors are allowed to keep the game moving, players should not abuse this. Players should always try to be as accurate as possible, and check with their opponent when adjusting the position of miniatures.
2.2 Missed Opportunity
If a player forgets to take an action or use an ability, they can’t do it later without their opponent’s consent, and once dice are rolled there is no going back. Players should act fairly and not purposefully try to cause their opponent to miss an opportunity, and should remind them of a potential missed opportunity before it’s gone.
2.3 Hidden Information
If a rule requires a player to have hidden information, they must note it down on a hidden piece of paper, and must show it to their opponent once the information should be revealed.
2.4 Outside Materials
Outside Materials: Players can’t take notes or use outside materials (like mobile phones or calculators) during a match, but may reference game rules, army lists, or other game components at any time.
2.5 Required Materials
Players must bring everything they need to play the game, including their army, tokens, dice, and ruler. Players must also bring a valid army list, ideally with at least two physical copies of it (for themselves and their opponent). Army lists must follow Force Org. rules*. All minis and upgrades must be clearly identifiable and have a corresponding entry in the army list.
2.5.1 Force Organisation (Force Org.) Rules
Force Organisation (Force Org.) Rules can be found in Grimdark Future Rules and Age of Fantasy Rules. Keep in mind that Grimdark Future and Age of Fantasy uses different Force Organization Rules.

2.6 Lost & Damaged Items
If a player loses or damages an essential item (e.g. Miniatures, Dice, etc.), they must try to find a replacement. If this happens at the start of or during a match, they should notify a Judge, who will give them extra time to find a replacement. If they can’t, they must concede the match. If they don’t find a replacement by the next match, they are removed from the tournament. In case of damaged minis, the mini is allowed as long as it doesn’t affect gameplay, but if it does, it must be fixed or replaced. In case of damaged dice, rulers, or tokens, the player may ask to share items with their opponent instead.
